Right, agreed. For Rosegarden we also allow anonymous reports, as on
balance we think they're probably better than no reports at all, but
it's amazing how much more confidently you can handle a report that has
a real contact address behind it. And actually, we don't get very many
anonymous reports. Probably most people prefer to complain about bugs
endlessly to their friends, rather than bother to report them.

I think the JACK, Ardour and ALSA track all disallow anonymous reports,
for the same reasons to do with difficulty in managing them. (Although
I seem to remember you have to be registered just to _read_ the JACK
and ALSA trackers -- which I think is going way too far.)
