This WAS the trick !
Now *every* playback is faultless ! The monitoring of a Hydrogen session
into Ardour is nickel ! (familiar french for "really good")

When you come to think of it, 3 periods/buffer, that was obvious, my
daughter said "you should've ask me" ;) hehe

Seriously, thank you for nothing short of making my home studio *work*.
