i think we already discussed this point. open source software running on
non-free operating systems can be seen as ambassadors. the reason why i
finally switched to linux was that i had to do with open source products
since a while, e.g. apache, mysql, python, nsis.
at work i have to use windows, and i'm happy to be able to use some stuff
there as well, such as inkscape.
i wonder if it isn't more shortsighted to "not mingle with the bad people".
this is a dialogue, not a war fought through rejection.
