Ok, very sorry, didnt get time to check out your post before!
Just come back from a gig.

Now iv read it, whilst i was out i tried compiling the 2.6.16-rt21
patch against 2.6.16

It patched fine, but when it came to compiling it failed.
Again errors about undefined symbols in config, although this time it
got a lot further!
