I've been doing some Mastering work stuck at 44100 and have been using
ecasound combined with the .asoundrc jackplug extension as well as the
jack dummy driver to get some rudimentary support for Jack sample rate
conversion.
Of course it would be nice for Jack to do this by itself and simply
display a warning.
