Or an old and gold Matrox G450, if you still can use AGP or PCI. These
are perfect cards for a Linux audio machine, and you almost get them
for free on *bay. Their 3D performance is okay for Quake 3 Arena.

Also superhighendthreedeegraphicshardandsoftware can degrade audio
performance in various ways, depending on the system, its drivers etc..
Currently Creative is fighting that issue btw., see
