Hi Dave. Now that's interesting. I set things up as per your last post, and
also had Qjackctl, and jackd started. Ran the command you said while CD'd to
the Breakage directory, but Zilch. Left it running for a while, and have just
shutdown Jack. got a big audible bunch of drum sounds, with a lot of output
on the CLI, and wonder of all wonders, Breakage has opened it's GUI. It's
playing one of the demo's but I can't hear it. Alsamixer settings are ok. I
think I'll make uninstall chuck, and remake it using linux-jack as the option
rather than linux-alsa, although having got some drum sounds just prior to
the GUI opening with chuck setup to use Alsa, perhaps this isn't necessary.
Also, at the moment, when the sequencer is running, it's using close on 100%
CPU, and that's on a 1.3GHZ machine with 1GB RAM.

Anyway I can see what it looks like now, as in your Linux Journal article, and
ion the Breakage site.

Getting somewhere. Graphics, but no sound on a drum sequencer is a bit of a
downer, but moving forward all the same.
