Does the MIDISPORT play nice with Linux these days ?
Last time I tried to use one on a CCRMA box, I had to install this separate
firmware loader to get it working :
http://usb-midi-fw.sourceforge.net/

You might prefer something working out of the box (class compliant USB card,
although I could not mention one ...). Of course, if you are ready to make
this extra work, the MIDISPORT is rather cheap, and reliable.
