[LAU] Black/Death Metal vocals

Hello again folks,

has anyone got some tips on Vocal F/X to achieve the voice typical to
Black/Death Metal music?

I'm interested in performing them, but don't want to ruin my voice.
So perhaps there's a nice vocoder carrier for this, or a certain
plugin chain?
