I've been using the M-Audio AudioBuddy mic/gtr preamp with good results.
You can usually find them for cheap on eBay.

Btw, even if your guitar has built-in amplification its signal may still
require preamplification. I have an Ibanez AEF30, it definitely needed
the preamp.
