If you want to be able to figure this out the next time install
apt-file: "sudo apt-get install apt-file; sudo apt-file update". Then
you can search for the files a make process can't find:
atte@email-addr-hidden:~$ apt-file search asoundlib.h
libasound2-dev: usr/include/alsa/asoundlib.h
libasound2-dev: usr/include/sys/asoundlib.h
This means you need to install the package "libasound2-dev".
