I honestly don't know the answer to that question. I just took a peek at
a schematic for the Hot Rod Deluxe, and I see it has a preamp out, but
it doesn't say what level or impedance. If it is intended for going to
external effects, those typically expect line level unbalanced at 600
ohms, which most sound cards can also handle (some want a balanced
signal, which is another issue entirely).

I will not be held responsible if you try it and blow something up. ;-)

Personally, I would say to get a decent ribbon mic and record your amp
that way. :-) Barring that, skip the complications, plug the guitar
straight into the DI on your Tascam, and start shredding. :-)
