You should be looking at Qtractor. If that doesn't work, then LMMS + Ardour
does it although you have to switch between a normal and JACK environment to
get the MIDI done and imported/exported (JACK support in LMMS is in
development - not developed).

There are Ubuntu Studio, JAD and 64Studio, among others. The latter may be
lagging behind in updates, but is very stable and guarantees you a steady
workflow. Personally, I believe both the Suse and Ubuntu offerings are on
par, except that I don't like GNOME. As such, I recommend JAD (Jacklab).
