Regular distros such as Debian will run just fine in 512m. Nothing to do with
dual-boot. If the overblown GUIs like kde or gnome seem slow, use something
lighter such as xfce.

Want a super-light distro? Look at "deli-linux" -- nothing to do with cold-
cuts -- "DEsktop-LIght". The thing will run in 32m, more apps in 64m.
