i've always been curious about which programs/services i can get rid
of, but i've been too chicken to experiment first hand, not wanting to
break a working system. can you point to some good resources to
determine which stuff is expendable for a music-oriented system?
FWIW, i've been running xubuntu, like someone else has already
suggested, works great.
