I understand what you mean, but:
1) This is a direct recording, the room always adds ambience.
2) This is one of the few aggressive tracks in our mostly meditative
setting. It provides a good contrast to the other soundscapes.

That's possible. Part of the idea however is the abrupt effect of the
drums entering so suddenly and suggesting another feel that had been
before (the pad in 6/8 the vocal in 3/4).

Reflection is always good. Will consider things again when I work on the
tune again in my DAW.
