[LAU] mplayer and CDs

Hello everyone!
I wondered: Is there a way to not only play full CDs with mplayer, but to
navigate through them track by track? I usually use something like this:
mplayer [device-options] cdda://1,2,3
OR:
cdda://*
[which generates an error message, but plays the whole CD]
Only whatever I tried, I can just press '+' and get to the next track,
although mplayer recognises track-boundaries. I see it around the time mplayer
gets to the next one (even while forwarding/rewinding). Mplayer prints
something like:
Track 2
   Anyone any ideas?
I'm asking now, because with my new kernel, I can't get cdfs to compile.
:-( So no lack of curiousity, only never any pressing need.
   Kindest regards
           Julien
