This is on debian lenny.
I wanted to try rosegarden.
It seemed to want jack.
Installing jack messed up something about the basic sound setup, so
that now when I boot my machine sound does not work.
After running alsaconf it works. Note that deinstalling jack and
rosegarden has not removed the problem.
I could post the output of lsmod before and after alsaconf if someone
can decipher that
