That is a great example! I forgot about those. BBE and Aphex still
sell a lot of those, I think.
I've been thinking about writing a piece about how what we like to
listen to isn't actually "natural" or "accurate" in a lot of cases.
For example, a Sure SM58 does not faithfully reproduce the human
voice, but when it comes to live performance they sound "right"; they
meet our expectations.
