In my opinion:
A statement like "Linux audio is full of pitfalls" has no constructive
element in it. It diminishes the subject, and does so in a generalized
and sweeping manner. This type of comment is not going to motivate
improvement: it has only a negatively impacts the community.
To be more precise, it is a negative observation of an individual: an
individual who is entitled to their opinion. However posting a
personal opinion as a fact in a public discussion is neither
constructive or relevant.
On a positive note, I welcome input from any individual on matters
where they have knowledge and experience. With that I will politely
request that time is taken when writing to list, in order to be
understanding to all those in the community, and write a single
coherent email that adds to the constructive resolution of the
discussion / debate at hand.
Cheers, -Harry
