The lowlatency kernel in 16.04 4.4.0-4-lowlatency works with the ice1712
just fine. The new feature that kills PCI has been removed in this kernel.
Generic will still have no sound. mudita24 also works. I do not know if
this has an upstream version for the debian archives as well or not. (I am
testing ubuntustudio 16.04)
