The tune button only needs to be used once, after the Prophet 5 is
turned on and then the tuning to play it polyphonic stays stable. I
used different versions of the Prophet 5, they all provided a stable
tuning. And again, all the later build synth, from Oberheim, Korg etc.
didn't suffer from tuning issues at all. That even some monophonic
Moogs don't provide a stable tuning, is an exception among the
vintage analog synth. That people nowadays like different sounds, than
vintage sounds, doesn't mean that vintage synth aren't able to produce
the modern sounds. It's a pity that the not too old analog synth, that
use CEM (Curtis) microchips are dying out, because it became hard to
repair them, excepted of some overpriced new synth from Dave Smith, I
never have seen in my live.
