You must have 1 connection to the ground, and all the equipments must
be connected to it. Normally, you connect the ground near the audio
inputs, and from it, the other equipments. To connect the other
equipments, you must pay attention to the ground loops. It the
computer's main plug have a ground connection, it will already be
connected to the ground, and you will get a ground loop via the audio
cables between the computer and the amplifiers. If you cut the
amplifiers ground and wire that ground directly from the amplifiers to
the computer, the ground loop via the audio cables will remain, which
necessitate to cut it in one side of the audio cable.
So, it is no solution that will work in any case and you have to
experiment what is best for your setup.
Also, the main's ground itself can be noisy, especially on big setup,
and it can append the only solution is to not use the main's ground and
wire a separated ground on, as example, some metallic water or heater
pipe. Such a setup is forbidden by law, but sometime can be the only
working solution (from the sound point of view - from the security
point of view, it is totally illegal, and in case of accident, it can
be fatal and you will be jailed -:).
