That's another reason I got the SU700.
Samples are arranged in 12 "tracks", each with its own pad; above each
pad is a knob.
Off to the side is about 30 buttons, each of which assigns a control
function to all 12 knobs. So there is NO stepping through menus to
find the thing you want to adjust - you just get used to the button
layout, and then adjusting your sound is never more than 1 button
press away. Bam.

It's not a perfect system - there are some things that take a while to
do, and some things that I don't think you can do at all - but there
is a LOT of sound control right there. It's really fun.
