Hey I have an SB card :) Only because I cannot convince my wife to
let me get a Delta 1010 and there is nothing cheaper than that I would
want. My SB-Live has excellent SNR compared to other cards I have had
and think it works well.

I have to say that in the end, ALSA drivers will be (I HOPE) no
problem to use, no more difficult than using Linux itself. From what
I understand, Paul is not using ALSA because it just there, he is
using ALSA because it performance and featureset fit his project, and
IMHO in already using Ardour once feel that it works well at the stage
that I used it.

Musicians in my mind are going to use whatever they feel comfortable
with. And if they find a program that crashes alot, well, they are
going to get pretty damn fustrated, as I have with many windows based
HDR systems.

Just my two cents.
