Anyway I think we (Joern ?) should (available CPU slots permitting) one day
make a freshmeat-style (custom tailored for audio) database that holds the
links, descriptions etc of the apps that are on Dave's page.

The system must become user driven ala freshmeat.
Otherwise it will be almost impossible to manage (to reflect all changes ecc
ecc)
Dave has already done something close to impossible by keeping up to date his
excellent list.

Indeed mstation.org is pretty nice, I especially like the interviews to
various developers.
(John: interviews to Linus and Alan Cox ? :-) )

That's right but I'll sleep much better as soon as the borg from Redmond
 will be gone form recording studio PCs.
