FYI: kaconnect does not compile with ALSA0.9b8:

kaconnect.cpp: In function `int main (int, char **)':
kaconnect.cpp:79: aggregate `snd_seq_port_subscribe_t subs' has
incomplete type and cannot be initialized
kaconnect.cpp:91: `snd_seq_file_descriptor' undeclared (first use this
function)
kaconnect.cpp:91: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only
once for each function it appears in.)
