I've thought of adding ALSA sequencer support to SoundTracker myself
before, but never got around to it. I don't think I will get to it
anytime soon. Besides, you seem to have some interest in adding the
support yourself. I think the best way to find out about the ALSA
sequencer API is to look at a program that uses it. My program Smurf
Sound Font Editor has support for the ALSA sequencer (0.5.x and latest
0.9.x), have a look at src/drivers/seq_alsa.c. Or just find any other
program that supports the latest ALSA and see how they do it. The
Doxygen documentation comes in handy for reference on the different
functions, it can be found on the ALSA documentation page, if you didn't
already know. Adding sequencer support to SoundTracker really shouldn't
be that hard, the hardest part is figuring out where to hook it into the
program. Good luck to you :)
