hello
i have a big desktop pc with linux and a laptop mac that i take on the
road. i recently got rid of windows on the pc and have tried to get a
decent audio set up running. i've pretty much ended up with PD, which
looks really powerful for processing and generating sounds. its also
flexible as to what sound subsystem you use (alsa/ oss) . and really
importantly for live use, it can take control input from all kinds of
things - joysticks/ MIDI etc and it hasn't crashed once yet! i'm now
tempted to clear macos9 (yuk) and osx off my mac and put ppc ,linux on
there. just need some drivers for my vxpocket... btw anyone know if
vxpocket works under linux ? from what i've heard it doesn't...

matthew
