i believe that cards based on the Trident 4DWave NX are good. if you
can, search the linux-audio-dev archives and see if you can find it
mentioned there. Paul Barton-Davis (author of numerous Linux audio
apps) highly recommends it as a 'consumer-level' card for Linux.
otherwise, let me know if you can't find any information on it and i may
it in my own mailing list archives somewhere.

i think you can get it from Hoontech; www.hoontech.com is your friend.
they're cheap, too.
