I'm very interested in being able to play tracks off of the cd also.
I use a plextor ultra plex wide scsi cd drive and a delta 1010,
along with late september alsa from cvs,
and have had that thought on the to-do que for some time now.
Most of us here are still using wide, and lvd scsi drives here
because of the sorry state that ide was in for speed until
just recently. The plextor is a great drive and it would be
real nice to be able to use it in real time for audio.
If anyone has any more ideas or knowledge of, please post.
