Curious - what are you doing to sync the tracks? Just lining them up
by hand?

I had a go at that years ago with an SB16 getting tracks in from my
old 4-track cassette machine... at the time I was using Multitrack,
which mostly worked. But trying to time-align the tracks was so
laborious I gave up. Even once I got a good start point, the drift was
pretty bad. Granted, a good reel-to-reel machine will have much more
stable tape speed than a cheap aging tascam cassette machine.
