Subject: [linux-audio-user] Questions about the Delta66, drums

Ok, so I'm looking at the Delta66 now. One question, does it use
phantom power for the breakout box, or will I have another wall wart?

This is important, as I'm living in Zürich, and planning on buying in
New York next week. The power is different here, and I can't record
audio through something that hisses from a bad power
converter/transformer...

Anybody have one of these that can confirm?

Oh, and thanks to Paul Winkler for the advice. If this doesn't work
Paul, it'll all be your fault -;^>=

Another question about the Delta66 - I will be miking guitar/bass
cabinets, and want to know if I will really need the AudioBuddy mic
preamp? That one I will have to buy over here if I need it (or waste
money on a power supply).

And now for the drum section: I have seen many links to drum software
(xdrum, GreenBox, Trommler) but have yet to see anything work. I did
get Trommler 3.0 to build and run, but no output and more questions than
answers. thud, xdrum and greenbox never could build. Argh.

So what's out there that's usable? Any experience that I could learn
from?

TIA,

- Mitch
