Not yet, but it will be. (That's the reason the JackPlugin isn't built by
default - it runs SSM in a threaded mode which is unstable)
Making all the plugins threadsafe is not going to be a trivial thing to do,
but I have a pretty good idea of a solution (thanks to Paul Davis).
