I downloaded RPM:
http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/cooker/contrib/RPMS/audacity-0.98-6mdk.i586.html
then I did:
urpmi wxGTK6
urpmi libmad
After this RPM installed with no complaints.
I had libvorbis and libogg already installed. You may have to do:
urpmi libvorbis
to get it installed.
