Ah excellent. I do have an SBlive and I have seen the Wave controls
in alsamixer but I have absolutely no clue as to how to apply this
information to actually capturing sound from the SBLive PCM interface
(I presume). Would you mind going one step further and elaborating
on actual steps to take to capture any sound, in any format (raw ?)
to a file at the same time ? TIA TIA TIA !!!

I, personally, simply want to emulate the loopback feature of 0.5 ALSA
and I think the original poster of this thread wants to do similar.
