Actually the MidiSport 4x4 uses the same EZUSB chip as the 1x1 and 2x2.
However, since the EZUSB chip only has two serial ports, the 4x4 has an
extra dual USART. Unfortunately the port assignment on the 4x4 is different
from the 2x2.

If I ever have some free time (yeah, right) I would like to get port the
2x2 code to get two working ports on the 4x4 (this should be trivial) and
then later get the extra USART ports working as well.

As for the 8x8 I have no idea what its got in it.
