Subject: [linux-audio-user] Speaker placement.

I have the opportunity to help fit out a bar.

I thought people round here might be able to provide some pearls of
wisdom regarding speaker placement.

it looks roughly like this:

             16m
                 ---------------
                | | DJ |
---------------| |_______|
| | |
| | |
| | |
| | B | 14m
| | A |
| | R |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| | |
------------------------------

The floor to ceiling height is 3 meters

We have 1 sub and three all range speakers.

The main problem with the space is that the floor is hard shiny tiles
and there is very little soundproofing in the room. I'm concerned that
having the speakers placed unscientifically in the corners is going to
prove more of a hindrance than a help because the sounds will cancel
each other out.

Does anyone have concrete suggestions (mathematically proven) for
speaker placement so that we get the best soundscape environment?

If not does anyone know of some sites that deal specifically with this?

TIA.

Being on stage with the band in front of crowds shouting, "Get off! No! We want normal music!", I think that was more like acting than anything I've ever done.
