I'm reading it now. It's true that it's out-of-date with regards to some
software. Interfaces have changed, one or two apps that looked cool
haven't been updated by their authors and won't run on recent Linux
versions.
However, it's still basically solid, and there's not much else out
there. Without the book, I wouldn't have been able to make anything out
of some of the things I downloaded from Planet CCRMA. You just have to
make allowances.
