It is related to portaudio v19, which does not make any effort to boost
the ALSA threads scheduling. As a result, the thread gets equal cpu time
as any other thread. Of course, this is unbearable.
Aldrin works best with the Jack Audio Connection Kit.

The wording has been changed just five minutes ago. There are no more
efforts on my side to get buzz binaries working. It is simply not worth
it to keep a corpse alive longer than neccessary. I am steadily porting
the most important and available machines to zzub/Aldrin.
On Windows, Aldrin loads buzzmachines through a wrapper, and is far more
"compatible", being able to load and play almost all bmx files
correctly.
