www.dspguide.com leads to the above book, just in case somebody missed.
This book is good. Consider any additional book (particularly on audio
applications) only after reading it.

Too many books to choose from, and all costs averagely $40. Too bad.

I don't have any list of freely available texts on DSP. I have
used the dspguide which is good enough. It is often better to walk
to public (technical) library and pick several books based on what is
available, than by looking at an extensive list of books you really
don't have money for. IMHO.

A good library is also full of DSP journals: pick up good tutorials
and surveys.

I also have searched for DSP lecture notes with Google...
