so far, i'm using the attached patches (first two).
- extract libsndfile-0.0.28 tarball on directory ardour/libs
- apply the first patch on libsndfile directory
- apply the second patch on the root directory of ardour.
- run autogen.sh.

yes, this fix should be very small.
the third attached patch is also a fix but it accepts only version
1.0.0.
