 If you spend some time with the program you'll find that you can make
sounds that sound just about any way you want them to. Maybe the metallic
thing is a preference of the person that did the sample stuff. I've not listened
to them. I don't know. Where you're getting the comb filter/vocoder idea from is
something I don't know either.

 My point was {badly put, I'll grant you} that I think maybe the next big thing
might have to do with additive synthesis or {as some other folk on this list
seem to be saying} physical modelling, sound morphing, etc. Maybe it will have
to do with unusual sounds {ie concrete, synthesis, etc...} being resynthesized
or reformed... Additive stuff seems to have leapt out of the gate in winworld...
It has much potential. Spatial stuff might be a way to go as well. "Sound
dioramas" etc...
