If it were compatible, why wouldn't other apps want the option
to use that gui? (I'd hope plugins work as uniformly across
hosts as possible, I guess)
As a note on this thread:
I like the current gui proposal, and will examine it more
closely next weekend. (I will probably code up an implementation
in C under the LGPL at some point in the near future, (using gtk+)
for those interested in such things...)
