there is the midiman delta series, which are very affordable pro cards.
and then if you want to skim a few percent off the price, there's some
terratec and hoontech/st-audio cards, but based on reviews i've read, i
don't recommend them (too much noise).
i have the delta audiophile, and i get 1.3 to 1.4 ms latency, minimum midi
latency, and great sound.
