I'm using redhat's 2.5.7 + alsa cvs + snd-maestro3 with oss emulation.
I can't run below 1024 samples/period with the m3 'cos it sucks.

Yup, OSS -> alsa OSS emulation.

Wierd. I wonder what's going on here. Are you building the plugins from
source, or using the RPM?
